The School of the Great Commission Bible College has joined forces with the International Bible Institute. The Bible College is designed to offer Christian based secondary education to students with an interest in working in the Christian field. SOGC was designed to target rural and inner city church leaders and lay people. The International Bible Institute will target the Hispanic community. The school will offer certificates, associates, Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate degrees in the areas of Religious/Christian studies. We will also offer Honorary Doctorate Degrees in the areas of Divinity and Christian Humanities.

The Staff: Each program and degree will be taught by a master level professional. Our preference is an instructor at the Ph.D. level.

The Programs: the following are a list of programs/degrees offered by the College.

a) Certificates: We offer certificates in Church Development, Ministry Development, Crisis Intervention, How to Develop a Youth Ministry, How to Develop a Strong Brotherhood, Evangelism.

b) Associates, Bachelors and Masters

These programs are taught in each of the above degree areas;

Evangelism – teaches students the concept of developing an Evangelism ministry. The Masters in Evangelism includes an Internship in a local church/ministry or people serving people non-profit organization.
Christian Leadership - teaching students the basics and advance techniques in leadership. The Master’s degree students will complete an internship in a local church/ministry or people serving people non-profit organization. Students will also be requiring to write a research paper in the Bachelors and Master’s degree program.

c) Dual Degree Program- Bachelors/Master Degree

Religion and Philosophy – This degree program teaches students the different Religions of the World and their impact on the thoughts of people.
Christian Ministry – This degree program teaches students the actions and belief of groups of people. Concentration will also be directed towards the behavior of groups of people and beliefs I denominations and religions.
Christian Counseling- This degree program teaches students the concept of Christian counseling. Students will be taught the fundamentals and techniques of counseling.
Christian Humanities – This degree program teaching students the fundamentals of humanities and social work.
Pastoral Ministry – this degree program teaches students the fundamentals of Pastoring a group pf people and leadership techniques.

Our dual degree program is a sixteen-month program that is designed to provide quality education to working adults at a very affordable rate. The program works in three ways;

A student can take all classes via the email with an assigned personal instructor who will provide the student with a lesson to be completed at their own pace. Once the lesson is completed and sent to the instructor via email, the instructor will grade the lesson and issue a certificate of completion providing the student passes the end of the lesson test. Please note you must pass with a B average, holding a C average means you are average and our school only graduates above average professionals. The student will be responsible for sending the necessary fee before the next lesson is sent. We have various payment options that will be discussed later in this letter.
The second option is the student will receive lessons via the email or US postal service and be required to attend a monthly four hour workshop in a designated area. This workshop will review the lessons and provide additional lessons. Each lesson including that monthly workshop will conclude with a test.

The cost of the workshop will be included in the tuition, except for an additional book fee.

We will have Satellite Campuses throughout the country and students have the opportunity to attend these campuses. This option allows students to pay tuition weekly.

The fees:

The Dual Degree program cost $5200.00 for the entire sixteen months. We will offer payment plans of $200.00 per month to each student for sixteen months at no interest. We offer a 10% discount for any student that pays the program in full at the beginning of their session. In addition we offer;

10% discount to Senior Pastors, Bishops, Apostles and their spouses.
We offer a 10% discount to military veterans.
We offer a need based scholarship of 50% of the tuition on a limited basis, we believe that a student will value the education more if they pay the cost to what level they can afford.
All students must fill out an application and pay a nonrefundable fee of $75.00 when submitting the application.

If you complete the 16 lessons before the end of the term you will not be able to graduate until all fees are paid in full. We will grant a 10% early completion discount if you finish early. You also get extra credit towards your degree for sponsoring leadership workshops in your area. You will receive credits for 4 lessons for every workshop you plan. That allows you to complete your degree early. ALL PAYMENTS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE UNDER THE SCHOOL’S NON-PROFIT DIVISION

The School of the Great Commission

The School of the Great Commission was chartered by the State of South Carolina in 2003 as a Non-Profit Organization and in 2004 as a Post-Secondary Religious Institutions under Code 59.58.30 of the Nonpublic Post-Secondary Religious Institutions Act of Title 59. Under the leadership of Founder and Chancellor, Rev. Dr. Winford Thompson, the School received exemptions from the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education to operate as a Bible School. We hold exemption for Non-Public Post-Secondary Institutions License Act Chapter 58 Title 59 for institutions whose sole purpose is religious or theological training. The purpose of the school is designed to offer educational training in the areas of Theology, Ministry, Divinity and Biblical Matters. It is approved to offer earned Certificates, Associates, Bachelors and Master degrees in Biblical Studies. The School is also qualified to offer Doctorate degrees in Biblical Studies. In addition, we are authorized to offer and present, Honorary Doctorate Degrees. The School is headquartered in South Carolina and is authorized to operate World-Wide in the area of Religious Studies.

We are a registered Non-Profit organization. Under the leadership of our Board of Trustees and Chancellor the school has obtained Accreditation from the World-Wide Accreditation of Christian Educational Institutions and the Southeastern Associations of Bible Colleges. The School holds licensing memberships in the National Christian Counselors Association. The school is also a Chartered/Founding Member of the National Association of Bible Colleges/Schools of Theology. In 2014, the School partnered with the International Bible Institute and has member organizations in several foreign countries.

Payment Plan

Each student must pay a $75.00 application which will be used as the textbook fee. Once a student is enrolled, he/she will be responsible for entering into a payment arrangement with the school.

Those arrangements are; ALL STUDENTS MAY FOR OUR IN-HOUSE GRANT-IN-AID.

Payment in full with a ten percent discount,
Make monthly payments in the amount of $200 per month for sixteen months of classroom instruction,
Make bi/weekly payments in the amount of $100.00 for the duration of class,  Make weekly payments in the amount of $50.00 for the duration of class.

Your payment arrangement is due on the first day of class and is paid in advance. Students must be in good financial standings to proceed in class.
